When I connect the 4K Ultra HD BRAVIA Television receiver to the PlayStation 4 Pro, 4K HDR is not recognized on Video Output Settings.

  • I cannot select 2160p-RGB on Resolution of the PlayStation 4 Pro.
  • Only 2K supported is displayed for HDR on Your Tv in Video Output Information of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

If you take any of these issues, cheque the following.

  1. Bank check the HDMI cablevision used for connecting the BRAVIA TV and the PlayStation 4 Pro.
    Bank check if the cablevision is the HDMI cable supplied with the PlayStation 4 Pro or the Premium high speed HDMI cable which supports 18 Gbps.

  2. Confirm that an HDMI terminal on the BRAVIA Television receiver supports HDR.
    Depending on the model, only some HDMI terminals may support HDR. For details, refer to the following Q&A.

  3. Fix HDMI signal format to Enhanced format on the BRAVIA Goggle box.

    1. Open up the Settings screen. How to admission Settings
    2. The side by side steps will depend on your Boob tube bill of fare options:
      • Select Channels & Inputs —External inputs —HDMI bespeak format.
      • Select Watching TVExternal inputsHDMI signal format.
      • Select External inputsHDMI signal format.
    3. Set to Enhanced format.
      Annotation for Z9K and Z9J series: Only for HDMI IN 4 last, set up to Enhanced format (4K120, 8K).
  4. Set the HDR to Automatic on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
    1. Press the PS push button on the controller of the PlayStation 4 Pro to brandish the Dwelling house screen.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Sound and Screen.
    4. Select Video Output Settings.
    5. Prepare HDR to Automated.

If there is no trouble in the steps and then far, the PlayStation 4 Pro tin can output the HDR signal to the BRAVIA Telly, but the settings of the PlayStation 4 Pro cannot be correctly reflected to the BRAVIA TV.
Please confirm that Video Output settings in the PlayStation four Pro is indicated correctly by following the procedure below.

  1. Press the PS button on the controller of the PlayStation 4 Pro to display the HOME screen.
    NOTE: When Video Output Settings has been already displayed, be sure to perform this procedure once.

  2. Confirm that the settings are recognized correctly by following the procedure below.

    For Resolution:
    1. Select Settings.
    2. Select Sound and Screen.
    3. Select Video Output Settings.
    4. SelectResolution, and so cheque if2160p-RGB tin be selected.
    For HDR on Your TV:
    1. Select Settings.
    2. Select Sound and Screen.
    3. SelectVideo Output Settings.
    4. Select Video Output Information.
    5. Select HDR on Your Tv, then cheque if 2K/4K Supported is displayed.
  3. If the issue is not resolved, update the system software of your PlayStation 4 Pro to the latest version.
